Zero Day: Large Print Hardcover Edition – Perfect for Book Clubs, Gifts & Easy Reading

Zero Day is a delightful conclusion to the Hatching trilogy. The perfect ending that has even more excitement than the other two books. I mentioned before that this 'book' (3 books) is just about the best "bug book" I've ever read, and I've read a couple of hundred of them. Really good 3-dimensional characters, great bugs and lots of action. The only criticism I'd have is that using "Manhattan, New York, New York" was redundant, since Manhattan IS New York. Perhaps the Oxford, Mississippi story was a bit too long, and maybe Mike's airplane travels could have been more detailed, but there is one scene in the NY White House that is just about perfect, and had me laughing and cheering the characters. One of the best scenes I've read anywhere.The book is set sometime in the future which is only told tangentially: a manned Mars mission returns to earth and an internet device, called "the mesh" is mentioned.
