I was begged for this camera about 2 years ago but the price ($130 for just the camera) was high in my eyes for a 11 year old. However, as birthdays came and went & family situations passed I would hear the almost silent under breath comment about memories would/could have been captured if she HAD her own camera.Needless to say, I have taken on a new role for my company & need a camera to document how lab test go. However I want something I can easily instantly print & log into the lab reports. Birthday camera came to mind. So she got her camera & even said I could use it for work, (no strings attached, even told her she didn't have to share it with me as I probably only need it for the next 3 months & that would have been a waist of money ($115), plus the wasted time to format the computer & printer just for a few thumbnails here & there over the next few months). She is so content, she wants to share with me.PROS:I see the appeal as it is cute & compact, it came well packaged considering all the accessories that are included with the unit. it's small & yet huge, or we have really tiny hands. The different lens' work, it fits in the carrying case and the seller of this Fuji didn't charge extra for different colors.CONS:The instructions were not clear enough for her, (13yr old) or her 16 year old sister to follow. However, they did manage and after a good 20 minutes and on the verge of whining they figured it out just before I stepped in to break up the "you're stupid" debate, and took it as mine.It is a point and click, no photo journalism award winning photos here, but it dose work. The lens' are rather cheesy but for a kid I guess feeling like your doing something is a game changer. They ( the colored lens') really need to be used out doors or in blinding bright light. Far away shots seem to look closer and close shots look to be close enough to notice someones face, but not clear enough to know it is a zit on the subjects nose that we seem to be viewing. (That might be a pro than a con).She, (13yr old) so far has taken 5 pictures of her twin to try it out & feel she knows it. She says she does not want to try any more filters she thinks it is perfect just as it is... So make them all wait a few years to get what they want but not in the right color, so whatever will be considered "perfect"?CONCLUSION: My "O-The Grouch" is never happy, completely jaded, and in contempt of every idea or plan I can think of is actually happy with her camera and says, "It's perfect!", one very satisfied customer here.Love how easy and quick you can have pictures in hand. But she just told me that the front lens cover is broken and keeps falling off.
